This is an opportunity to be a part of something impactful and transformative. As part of our world-class, customer-first organization, Employ Design plays a key role in our success. As a Lead Designer, you’ll take on challenges across multiple stages of our design and delivery process. Understanding our users is core to how we work — through UX research, testing (and re-testing!) design concepts, and ongoing feedback from customers. We’re looking for a Lead Designer with a strong track record of designing high-quality digital solutions, with an eye to both user experience and visual design; someone who takes a collaborative approach to solving problems, partnering with teams across Employ to deliver delightful, easy-to-use experiences to our users.

The Team

Employ designers are generalists with a broad set of skills and experiences, and who are continuously learning from each other. Our team is collaborative, thoughtful, and passionate about user-centered design. We work closely with our partners in Product Management and Engineering. As a lead designer on this team, you’ll have a direct impact on shaping our product experiences for thousands of candidates and TA team members, helping Employ build the future of recruiting.

What would make you a great fit for this role?

  • 10+ years of software design experience; can be combined with experience in related roles like UX research, web design, or front-end development

  • Exceptionally strong skills in UX design and visual & interaction design, showcased in a portfolio of elegant, intuitive, user-centered work

  • In-depth experience designing for SaaS and/or B2B products; as a designer, you’ve had ownership over multiple complex feature areas

  • Expert-level familiarity with design processes, including experience creating design plans with clear scope, user outcomes, and timelines

  • Very comfortable working with design systems, and have made meaningful contributions to helping those system evolve

  • Strong track record of project-level leadership, on a design team and cross-functionally; you have a well-honed approach to engaging the right people at the right time

  • Motivated to proactively help evolve our design practice at Employ; you can articulate how your areas of expertise would move our practice forward

  • You understand the value of mentoring designers who are earlier on in their careers, providing constructive critique and guidance that helps them raise the bar for their own work

  • Very comfortable working across multiple stages of the design process, both in your own work and when providing project-level leadership for other designers

  • Expert participant in the product development process, from problem definition to launch and iteration; you've been part of teams that ship products with positive impact on users, customers, and the business; you track & measure the impact of your work

  • Skilled at applying UX research (UXR) insights in your work, and teaming up with researchers to plan UXR projects that support design work for future roadmap areas

  • A track record of collaborating successfully with PMs, engineers, and other designers — plus partnering cross-functionally with teams across the company

  • You lead by example when solving complex design problems; you’re comfortable embracing ambiguity, and don't hesitate to go back to the drawing board if your first (or second, or third!) idea isn’t successful

  • Expert knowledge of UX best practices for designing digital experiences that are easy to use, accessible, responsive, and scale to support a large user base

  • Advanced communications skills: you can clearly articulate the benefit and impact of your design decisions and guidance to others, backed up by well-chosen and compelling data grounded in user research, customer stories, product data, and industry best practices

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
