CM2 - Unarmed Security Guard for School

We are hiring for a school safety/security officer. We prefer ex-law enforcement or individual that has previous experience providing safety and security duties in a school environment.

Job Duties will include:

• Monitoring student activities
• Patrolling school premises
• Ensuring compliance with safety protocols
• Work closely with administrators and law enforcement agencies to provide safe environment for students, parents, and staff
• Provide excellent service to the client (be courteous, attention to detail, professional appearance and demeanor)
• Successfully manage situations involving children on a regular basis. Individual will need to have an understanding of the state requirements and laws when working with children
• Good communication skills required (verbal and written)
• Understand and able to execute post orders including enforcement of client and company policies, rules, and regulations
• Successfully apply specific security training and skills while making wise decisions in situations with minor children that can escalate quickly when not properly handled
• Must be able to follow directives given by Supervisors and School Management
• PATIENCE will be required at all times in this position

Qualified candidates will:

• Be Punctual! Must be on time. Tardiness and repeat call-offs are not tolerated.
• Be able to walk for periods of time to do foot patrols
• Work in a non-smoking environment
• Ability to monitor and direct traffic during student drop-off and pick-up
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
• MUST Have Valid Driver's License and clean driving record (applicant will agree to submit a current (within last 30 days) BMV report)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Be able to pass a drug screen upon hire and randomly (no drug use allowed as it is a school environment)
• Work Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm (Position will have weekends and any school holidays off)
• Have reliable transportation (your own vehicle)
• Own a smartphone
• Be able to write reports with good spelling and punctuation
• Have good people skills
• Previous law enforcement or prior safety/security/resource officer in a school environment
• Be able to successfully complete required onsite training required by client for anyone working at a school
• Preferably have de-escalation training
• Preferably have first-aid/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Pay depends upon experience
